Hidden Gems

Similar to the way Isabel Lucas has been overshadowed by her more flamboyant co-start of Transformers 2, Megan Fox, these tracks fall into the more obscure segments of our musical tastes, and therefore, have taken a backseat to the progressive house craze. Another parallel we can draw between Isabel and these tracks is that they are all beautiful in their own light. Now be like a sponge and absorb the aural pleasure about to hit your ears.

Sammy Bananas – My Body (Original Mix) – Dis beat is fresh.

Reset! – If We Try (The Love Anthem) (Broke One Remix) – A personal favorite.

Wild Nothing – Chinatown – oldie from the summer, but still, it bring back fond memories.

Sigur Rós -  Saeglopur (ENiGMA remix) – silky smooth wobbles.

Party Girl – Open Your Eyes – this is immensely impressive creation.

Kid Cudi – Falling Star (R3K Remix) – terminally chill beats.

The next two are courtesy the one and only PartyZaffa. Thank Mr. Wistar for this fraicheness.

Jo Valentino – Going Up! (Original Mix) – the piano is intoxicating.

Oliver – Dirty Talk (Black Van Remix) – sexy ish.

Shout out to EtMusiquePourTous for this “Space Age Bachelor Pad Music.”

Lana Del Ray – Video Games (Lockah Remix) – mmmm…sensual.

The Internet – Cocaine feat. Left Brain – a bit naughty…which is nice.

Overwhelmed? It’s going to be ok. Below is a link with a zip file of all the the tracks. You’re welcome.

Avicii vs. Gotye vs. Hardwell – Levels I Used To Know (Wilki’s Bipolar Edit) [Free Download]

Featured in “Get Filthy Vol. 2 – Climax,” this is my edit of Avicii’s levels. Used tracks from Avicii, Hardwell, and Gotye to create what I call my “Bipolar Edit.” I was about to upload to soundcloud when I thought to myself…hey, why don’t I just throw it up for free. So you heard it first here. Enjoy!

PREVIEW: John Dahlback – Life (Original Mix) [Pete Tong's "Essential New Tune"]

When people mention swedes in house music, they often times leave out one of the most talented and creative producers, Mr. John Dahlback. Following up his recent EP release, here is a preview of a track that seems larger than life. The clip is from Pete Tong’s 2 hour radio show on BBC Radio 1…oh and it was his “Essential New Tune,” so I would pay attention.

RELEASE: Otto Knows – Million Voices (Original Mix)

No this is not a preview, or a mirage. It’s the real thing. Otto Knows “Million Voices” is out today on Sebastian Ingrosso’s label, Refune Records. The track has been one of AYNE’s top 5 most anticipated tracks for 2012, and it seems like we have all been waiting forever for this day to come. This alert on my phone woke me up this morning around 6:00am…and I proceeded to support the young swede and purchase the track off Beatport (as you all really should be doing) and have been listening to this on repeat for about an hour. Let’s just say, this song inspires me. Makes me want to achieve things, be a better person really. I cannot illustrate to you people the immense passion I have for this track ever since Avicii played this live at Identity Festival 2011. It’s special.

Otto Knows – Millions Voices (Original Mix) – $$$$$$ SONG OF THE YEAR MATERIAL

RELEASE: Leventina feat. Anita Kelsey (Swiss Official Remix)

Yesssss! This one was in my Top 25 most anticipated tracks for 2012, and it’s finally here. Out today, the Swiss Official remix of Leventina’s “Tell Me” is a progressive house number with some unique sounds and serious power. Don’t take my word for it this time. Download it yourself, get a taste. Swiss Official is the real deal people. After this follow up to “Asimov,” released earlier this winter, they need to an artist on your radar.

Leventina feat. Anita Kelsey (Swiss Official Remix) – $$$$$ MASSIVE progressive house. Think Steve Aoki and Tommy Trash had a baby and Swanky Tunes helped raise it. Mmm that sounds nice, I’ll have that.

RELEASE: Chris Lake – Build Me Up (Original + Tommy Trash Remix)

Chris Lake is a legend. His latest release is pretty wild…so wild in fact, Tommy Trash had to stop and check it out. “Build Me Up” is an all out electro banger with some serious ammunition and real nice lyrics as well.  I’m honestly not sure which one of these is crazier. You decide.

Chris Lake – Build Me Up (Original Mix) – $$$$ Amazing new sounds. Drops are NUTS.

Chris Lake – Build Me Up (Tommy Trash Remix) – $$$$$ A bit more funky feel to the beats. Tommy throws down is usual crunchy drops and does some nice subtle effects during the lyrical portions. Oh and the last build/drop is AMAZING. This will be topping the Beatport charts soon enough. And one more thing. I’m going to go ahead a call it now. Tommy Trash  is going to takeover 2012, plain and simple.
