I have been following this Australian DJ/Producer for some time now, and I just felt the need to introduce those of you out there who do not know of him yet. As it describes on his new website, “Tuff, dark, and handsome – LNTG is a night over night disco babble sensation that is the result of a tub of oil, a fear of daylight, and secret love of all the other Jacksons.” His music has more depth than than your college philosophy book, more soul and emotion than your most intense romance, and draws from some of the best music ever created. Yes, of course I speaking about old school funk and soul. Artists like Aretha Franklin, Chaka Kahn, The Commodores, Steve Winwood, Diana Ross, and The Jackson 5 are just a few of the greats that he gives his unique touch up. To say what he does with these classics is magic would be an understatement. While maintaining his own originality and that of the original track, he creates beautiful, soothing soul and funk that will have you dancing the souls off your shoes and falling in love over and over again. With that, I leave you with a few of my personal favorites from this brilliant musician.
This is his latest production, a silky smooth remix of Lionel Richie & The Commodores’ hit single “Easy.” Nothing but positive vibes.
Here is a rework of Rufus & Chaka Kahn’s “Ain’t Nobody.” It’s sexy time.
Doesn’t get much better than this. LNTG’s edit of Diana Ross’s “Upside Down” is a beckoning call to all disco lovers. Get those boogie shoes on.
Grab that special someone or the one that caught your eye. This one is for gettin’ to know each other…if ya know what I mean. A certified bedroom boogie.
This ones seems like the appropriate send off. If you’re not in a dancing mood now, we can’t help you.
