We haven’t featured a Joachim Garraud release on the site in awhile, but that most definitely does not mean we don’t dig the dudes skills. Had a chance to see him at Electric Zoo last year and it was one of the highlights of the weekend. The guy puts on a serious show. Between his electronic keyboard thingy and superb track selection, you know you are always in for a treat. However, that is neither here nor there. This is his latest remix and it’s pretty damn solid. The vibrant vocals of C.C. Sheffield pull you in and Joachim accentuates them perfectly throughout the verse and buildup. Then he proceeded to drop into a funky acid / electro drop similar to that Nicky Romero or Tommy Trash stuff. It works. nicely. Trust me. Make sure to check out his other recent release, “Atrium” as well. We missed that one, but its since it combines the naughty and the nice, definitely worth a listen (video below)…plus the remix package is insane!
Here’s a little bonus ish. “Atrium” is Joachim’s big Dim Mak release and it’s filthy. The remix package is available here [Beatport Link] and it includes remixes from Tony Romera & Bartosz Brenes, Cold Blank, Designer Drugs, and my personal favorite from Angger Dimas.
