I posted one of his tracks the other day because it got me feeling randy for summertime funtivities with friends, then I delved a bit deeper into his soundcloud and came across this 30 min mixtape. So fire. Any beautiful babies out there wanna come over tonight I’m thinking we throw this on, light some candles and see where the night takes us. Giorgio Moroder US DJ Debut at Deep Space, NYC

Giorgio Moroder-3The man is a living legend in the music industry, and has finally made his US debut after collaborating with Daft Punk on RAM. Pioneering his own unique disco sound as well as working with heavyweights of the industry like Donna Summer, Giorgio has been around the block a few times. I personally had never heard a set of his before now, and I am extremely glad I spent time to give my ears a proper education this afternoon. I feel like I just traveled to Mars and back. So cool.

The wait it over. Daft Punk‘s long awaited comeback album…actually, fuck that. The weren’t ever gone in my opinion. I’ve heard their influence in dance music for the past 8 years. Think about it… Ayways, here is the album. Don’t buy it on iTunes, used Beatport. It’s better quality. Especially for you DJs out there. Come on, step your game up. What do you think? Was it worth all the hype? I happen to like 6/10. I’d say that’s solid. However, that said, I will definitely give it some time to grow on me. We’ve got a long three months of summer ahead of us.

Here is one of my favorites off the record.

Bonus remix from one of our “Spotlight” artists, Theater of Delays. Guess a couple people found out who they are cause this track made it to #1 on the Hypem remix chart this past weekend….piiiiimp. Played it live the other night on a roof…it works.
