MIXTAPE: Louis La Roche Radio Show – April 2013 [Free Download]

sexy_feet

This mix is 100% pure gold. Full of must have, must play nu disco, indie dance, electronic funky fraicheness that will have you begging for more. The piano is superb, synths are ever so succulent, and the baselines…oh ze baselines. My lord they are good. Literally every single track in here is worth a download, and I would even venture to say that if you don’t download at least some of these immediately, you should just delete AYNE from your memory. We cannot help you. Anyways, Louis La Roche is definitely one of our favorites and a staple of our Funky Fraiche Friday post since it’s inception. He’s keepin’ it funky, holdin’ onto that groove nice and tight. We respect that. Tracklist features the new single from Russ Chimes called “Turn Me Out.” Yea, it’s essential. And also included is a special previously undisclosed remix of A-Trak and Tommy Trash collab, “Tuna Melt.” It’s quite special. Obviously there’s Louis’ remix of Calvin Harris‘s “I Need Your Love,” but what really sets the tone for the whole mix is the eternally fresh original from Roman D’amour. The man is a legend. I mean, let’s be honest…he’s the guy behind “Make Love Tonight.” Yea you’re probably thinking of the Lifelike remix…oh hey, you know what, Roman is on his label…coincidence? I think not. These frenchmen know whats up.

Visit Louis’ Soundcloud for the full tracklist.

Pierce delivers time and time again. Not only is he a talented producer and DJ, but his track selection and eye for the deeper cuts always impresses me. Here is another one of his podcasts that he so eloquently titles “Get Weird.” They are featured on Tiesto’s Club Life show on SiriusXM…definitely not not sick. Make sure to grab the free download of the first track of the mix, Pierce’s remix of Mutemath’s “In No Time.” It’s quite beautiful. And per usual, pay attention to the tracklist. RELEASE: A-Trak – Tuna Melt EP [Fool’s Gold]

A-Trak’s latest release is a four track EP called “Tuna Melt.” It features collaborations with the always funky fresh mista Oliver, the uber-talented magician of crunch, Tommy Trash, the duo who makes you wanna f@ckin’ lost it, GTA, and last but not least, Galantis…not that familiar with him, but he is a Swedish producer with an ear for the unusual…and that’s stated in the best way possible. His track “Tank” is dope. Ok, back to the EP at hand. A-Trak is a true visionary. Fuck genres. He makes music. And it’s always top notch. Only downside on this EP is that it is only available via iTunes right now. Sorry DJs…it will be ok.

Funky Fraiche Friday [10.19.2012]

My deepest apologies for missing last Friday’s post. What can I say? This whole “job” this is a tough gig. Anyways, you know we got you. So, in efforts to make up for our mistake, we are serving up a shit ton of music to you guys…most of it free, so enjoy. This weeks post will feature mixes from Aeroplane, Bogdan, and one of our favorite local acts, The Knocks. Later in the post you will get some individual tracks from a plethora of artists that have that one essential thing in common…ze funky beats. Enjoy kids.

Aeroplane’s “August Mix” is an all time favorite of mine. This one is pretty solid as well. He has impeccable taste in funky beats. Get familiar.

14. Bat For Lashes – All Your Gold ( Hercules & Love Affair Remix )

This is my pic so far this month for best mix/podcast/radio show…whatever…its dank. Bogdan don’t do the whole “tracklist” thang, so you’ll just have to scavenge.

The Knocks just ended their tour with Dragonette. They are back in the studio. That means more dope tracks coming our way. Love it. Here is there most recent promo mix.

Now we got some individual tracks that will surely have those asses shakin’ till the mornin’ light. And if you don’t like dancing, steer clear…well what I meant to say is, fuck off.

Yea, that’s right. Dillon Francis gets funky too, just in a more..how you say….letsgetfuckingweird way. This track is going to be insane.

Only good vibes here. Vocals crush it. DCUP takes care of the beats, and he’s always on point. Night time = Dance time.

All we are asking on this one is…do you like to get deep? Cause we do. Frequently. This one is out on Nov 12th via Defected Records. Nick Curly, you’re a legend. Respect brotha.

Chill electronic vibes, breaks, vocal sampling, dope synths, etc. This track has everything. Never thought a remix of a Skrillex track could sound better than the original, but here you go. Blende’s baseline on the drop and overall production genius make this one an absolutely ESSENTIAL free download.

Here is one for the night cap this evening. Turn down the lights. Maybe light some candles. Press play. Make love (gentle, but firm…very firm). Repeat.

Sorry I didn’t post more…crunched for time. But this should satisfy you for now. Happy donsing children. Wilki out.

EVENT: Holy Ship 2013 [Lineup Announced]

This lineup is simply elite. If you like good music, fun DJs, and partying on boats, you might want to try and sneak on….just sadly found out that it’s 100% booked. It will be a 3 night cruise complete with some of the best DJs in the world, private islands, and beautiful party people. What more could you ask for in a long weekend? Peep the lineup and promo video from last year below.

Tracks in the video: DESTRUCTO “LA FUNKY” (BNR TRAX), KILL FRENZY “BOOTY CLAP” (DIRTYBIRD), and OLIVER “DIRTY TALK” (KITSUNE)

I want to punch myself in the dick for not booking this in August.

Let’s just pause right here…take a moment to digest…if you really need to know more, venture on sailor.

Ok, now this is just silly. This may be too much. Jack Beats…pure filth behind the decks. Skream & Benga throw an insane show. Zedd…duh. Crookers…mommy! In any case, if you aren’t blown away yet…

Oh what’s up D. Francis, Tommy da Trash…not to mention the absurd amount of talent packed into one picture. I mean good lord! Breakbot…brilliant. Gesaffelstein might be a genius…straight up. And the list goes on.

Now we get a bit deeper. Oliver is pure gold. Love the disco flavor. Eats Everything always seems to be making noise on Pete Tong’s radio show, and I trust him, so there.

Laidback Luke’s better half crushes it behind the decks and The Knocks are always on point. Research the rest of these artists, but I am certain you will find them aurally pleasing.
