Ifonika Recordings next installment brings the very talented JimiJ from Australia, fresh off his outstanding Mea Culpa EP on Electronic Elements (Armada). JimiJ makes his debut on Ifonika with ‘Dvoloka’ and ‘Kansani’. ‘Dvoloka’ begins with a progressive rhythm and reverberating low ends setting the tone for it’s solid house vibes and tribal punches. ‘Dvoloka’ then stages dreamy trance breakdowns in-between its surging rhythms, solidifying its quality. Roddy Reynaert is on remix duties presenting his ‘Cognitive’ take on ‘Dvoloka’. The remix begins with fine rhythmic progression and an advancing lead, complimenting the recognizable tone of ‘Dvoloka’. The track pushes forward with striking synths and vocal sirens, opening up in force within its breakdown for the striking melodic final phase. ‘Kansani’ is a fine progressive house track that expands layers of tech progressive pads and bass cuts, tied within an energetic and rhythmic high end that brings the tracks energy to the forefront. Full of ghostly ambiance, atmosphere and driving beats, ‘Kansani’ is an outstanding finish to a superb debut on Ifonika by JimiJ.
This release has been without a doubt the most supported Ifonika release to date with the #1 DJ in the world, Armin van Buuren, playing Roddy’s ‘cognitive’ remix in the most recent ASOT session. Big ups to the team over at Ifonika for this feat, and for recruiting great progressive talent so far, but we here at AYNE are sure this is only the beginning. Like the little girl in the AT&T ad says…

When your tune gets premiered on the BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix of the world’s number one DJ, you know you’ve done a great job at producing. Alexander Popov sees his new tune ‘Moscow Subway’ turn into a worldwide hype, for good reason.
No longer a rising talent, but a name well known, is Alexander Popov. The Russian producer made a swift rise to fame through the sounds of his ‘Elegia’, ‘When The Sun’ and the more recent ‘Lost Language’.
All geared for the summer of 2013 to kick off, he brings us ‘Moscow Subway’. A light, warm-hearted prog-trancer with deep, dreamy vocal chops. Another Popov tune that raises high expectations for his upcoming artist album.
When I first found out that the young frenchman was remixing this already epic track I definitely wasn’t upset. Armin van Buuren had already supported the hell out of the original from The Blizzard, and I knew David wasn’t going to be taking this task lightly. I think I first heard it in one of his podcast mixes, or maybe it was Group Therapy, regardless, I was greening out. This one is quite essential.
Check out this fresh assembly of some of the hottest songs in house music right now, including 8 previously unreleased tracks, on Revealed Volume 4 presented by Hardwell. He just had a launch party for this mix last night at his residency at Hakkasan in Vegas (which was probably a wild time) and will be holding a meet and greet/press conference that AYNE‘s own SilkiWilki and RalphyJ (Justin and Jeff) will be attending and hopefully be able to get a quick interview. I wasn’t able to attend and it slightly pained me to request the press access for those broney’s knowing I wasn’t going to take part, I will be living vicariously through them. Enough about us, be sure to check out this mix, it will be a good one to just throw on while partying and let play through. No let downs.
Nate continues to prove that he is a force to be reckoned with. His mixes keep getting bigger and bigger. This one is packed with some really fraiche bootlegs and edits by the young man, but my personal favorite is his “Don’t Pressure My Cocktail” mashup, so money it hurts. Keep killing it homes, we see you.
Here’s a brand new mix, with all my favorites at the moment in my sets. A bit of a flashback to my EDC Chicago set! Pop it in the car stereo!
Special 3 hour BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix from the people’s champion, #1 DJ in the world, Armin Van Buuren. The guy is an absolute legend. I knew this was gonna be cool, but damn. Would never have guessed Armin was gonna get so progressive on us all of a sudden, that first hour is so magical. And then it just keeps going. And going. So many feels. Upset that I missed Him in Boston this past Sunday, but I was finding inner peace in the mountains of VT. I mean, I listened to the Bruins game on a transistor radio for fucks sake, cabin fever like you research about on bing.com.
Glad M.A.R.T.I.R.E. started following me on Twitter a few weeks ago, dunno if he knew I was involved with AYNE, but if he did, touche. Gladly supporting his new tune with Aurosonic and Aelyn, especially considering the trance king AVB supported it today on ASOT. Extremely uplifting stuff. Looking forward to hearing more from this Florida native even more (No offense yung Fong).
