Stwo is a 20 year old producer/DJ from Paris, France who simply loves music. Growing up listening to many differing types of music – Justice, Erol Alkan, Cassius, Snoop, Dre, Pharrell, Timberlake, and “a lot of funk” - his production style borrows elements from all genres. Although he grew up playing bass, more recently, Steven has been turned on to the electronic music (and more particularly the bass music) scene, and has been spending countless hours at his laptop making the music he likes. It really is hard to put a label on his beats, as each one is so very different from the next, but as a common theme, they are mostly chilled-out, sample-based tracks similar to the likes of Giraffage, Cashmere Cat and xxyyxx. In it for the love of the game, he truly enjoys creating and sharing his choons. Take a load of with Stwo in this week’s spotlight and watch as your hump day worries fade blissfully away.

K N O W has some pretty cool Brandy samples tweaked with that signature Stwo sound… very fraiche indeed.
Finally his American Boy Remix is fonkayy, of course ever keeping close to his unique chilled-out style. This one sounds a little like Disclosure, which is nice. Love what he did with the vocals, gives the track a lot of character.
