Ifonika are proud to present Ahnk, the first single from Roddy Reynaert‘s debut artist album “Higher Cognitive Process” which is due for release in the coming months on Ifonika Recordings. Ahnk is an upbeat emotive track full of energy and blurring boundaries, while staying true to the classic “Roddy Reynaert” style we’ve come to know and love. It’s full of well-crafted synth work and blissful breakdowns, a taste of what’s ahead on Roddy’s album.
I feel like the people from Ifonika are teasing us. Still no official date for HCP, which is gonna rule, AND Roddy has now come to America twice and both times to the Midwest. I mean, I’m sure Cleveland is cool and all, I’ve personally never been there, so I’m not one to judge, but I would be willing to bet a visit to, I dunno, say New York City, would be slightly more fun. If I need to slap some sense into a club owner or two I will. After just recently seeing Jeremy Olander at Santos Party House I’m now sure that America is more than ready for real progressive house to take it by storm. Here’s what I’m thinking. Roddy, you throw yung David in your carry-on and I’ll pick up both you guys at JFK. I’m sure we could fill in the blanks. Maybe even throw Madeon in mix and that’s all she wrote. Francophiles would be freaking out.
Here’s a new song I’ve been working on for a while… I wanted to tell a story through dance music, using a longer structure than what I’ve done before.
In certain ways it’s almost a spiritual sequel to Icarus.
Whatever they’re feeding the French youth these days, I want it… Really into his new stage setup, minimal and epic at the same time, and he has it so the rave babies can see all the buttons he’s constantly pushing. Fraiche.
Here is a nice synth-dominated remix from San Francisco’s talented trio, The M Machine. Not sure if it has enough to make me like it better than the original, but definitely a solid effort. I bet it sounds reeeeal nice live. Released today on Madeon’s label, popcultur.
Out yesterday in the US and everywhere Oct. 8th is Madeon’s latest release. We previewed it last week, and you have probably heard it from hundreds of other sites and been playing the shit out of it on your Hypem app. It’s his favorite track and might be yours too, so I’ll leave you to it.
Following up his recent release “Finale,” which also included the phenomenal Dillon Francis remix, Madeon released a teaser last week of his new track “The City.” Madeon is quoted saying that this is favorite track he has ever produced. If that doesn’t tickle your pickle…

Martin Solveig put out several of the most well-known and well-received vocal house tracks of the year, including “Hello” and “The Night Out.” Now it’s time for everything else he has been working on. This week, via Big Beat Records, Martin released his full length album “SMASH.” Check out previews of each track below. The album features remixes from Dada Life, Hardwell, and Madeon and collaborations Dragonette and Sunday Girl. Pay attention to the previously unreleased stuff. Martin knows how to get that booty movin’.
And as a bonus, here is his quite wonderful Tomorrowland 2012 set. The dude crushes.
Been anxiously awaiting this all week. Dillon Francis goes moombahmode on one of the best tracks I heard live at ID Fest this summer. Madeon really is next level shit…and I’m pretty sure he just recently tuned 18…like really? How can you compete with that. Anyways, this version is a bit slower and features that nice wompage. Previewed it last week, but it’s definitely worth a follow up posting for the release. Download. Get weird.
