What a ledj. If you’re like us, you already know about this release. As a long time Pryda fan, I am still speechless about this one. I remember the days when we would have to wait literally YEARS for something like this (especially ‘Lycka‘) to see the light of day. Can’t express how glad I am to see Eric’s happy side show again. I mean I love the dark stuff, don’t get me wrong, but let’s face it, there really isn’t anything like a melodic Pryda anthem.

Can’t take the anticipation any longer? We can’t either. Me and Ralphy J have been long awaiting the return of the one and only Eric Prydz for over a month now. When we heard he was bringing his boys, Jeremy and Jonas, with him to NYC, we had instant broners. Jeremy Olander just added to the hype with this sexy 34 min mix of some of his own new weapons he has been unleashing on the Pryda Friends tour this fall. Every track on this mix, start to finish, is simply massive on an elite sound system (or a solid pair of v-modas…seriously, pick some up). Anyways, enjoy the mix, and don’t be surprised is his partner in crime, Fehrplay, drops his own mix before the 18th. Last thing I’m gonna say is that I find it quite odd that no one has gone out and just said it. Pryda Friends is quickly becoming the perfect fusion of talented producers who can flawlessly and effectively merge the best aspect of progressive house, techno, and tech house rhythms into one musical journey that never has ceases to amaze even the most experience dance music listeners. Come get a taste of what Eric, Jonas, and Jeremy have been cookin’.

Ah the changing of the seasons. Back in the city full time. Lots of cool events coming up, so stay tuned. In the mean time, enjoy my new mix series. Going to be going back and forth between ze deep stuff and those sessi progressive vibes you know and love. Here is Vol. 1 and it was highly influenced by my love for all things Eric Prydz. If you are going to either of the upcoming shows in NYC, let me know. Me and Ralphy J will be at both. And it will be glorious. I actually have a half chub thinking about it right now…
A special B2B Pryda FriendsEP/IC Radio means world exclusives and plenty of progressive heat. Jeremy Olander and Fehrplay have been touring the US together for the first ever Pryda Friends tour, and let’s just say I am moderately to very upset that I haven’t been able to witness them crush. Can’t think of many other 1, 2 punches like Jonas/Jeremy. Those shows probably didn’t suck to be at. Personally, I know my last true “Pryda Friends” experience at Space during Ultra was not not fun. In this 2 hour mix you will here exclusive new tunes from both Fehrplay and Olander, but also some new hotness that the have been playing in their sets recently from the likes of Hot Since 82, Maceo Plex, Andre Sobota and more. Oh yeah, and that first track from Olander… absolutely ROCKED mine and Wilki’s worlds when we saw him destroy Santos Party House in NYC a month or so ago. Whatever Eric is feeding these two, I want it. Maybe it’s just a steady helping of Hierbas? I’ll try that first.
Here it is ladies and gents. The last Visions of Summer mix for 2013. Think of it as the grand finale. Yes I could have made it 4 hours, but that seems excessive. So it’s almost 3 hours, and it’s nothing but beautiful productions from some of my favorite artists and labels. Of course there are some from the Anjunabeatscamp, as well as several from the hottest rising label in progressive house right now, Ifonika, which has produced killer tracks from Roddy Reynaert and JimiJ…to name a couple. There are some older deep cuts, a couple edits from myself, a new single from The Chainsmokers, and numerous selections from the Enhanced imprints. Maybe if you’re lucky, I will post the tracklist. In the meantime, grab your favorite headphones or speakers and get into it.
After crushing his Group Therapy guest mix this past Friday, the young Frenchman was on Anjunabeats Worldwide mix duties on Sunday. While he focused on mostly his own tracks in his Group Therapy guest mix, his AWW mix ventures deeper into his back catalog of tunes from a few of his favorite producers. Silky smooth intro keeping it funky and laid back simply dripping in gold as he oozes his french disco roots, then he turns things up a notch and next thing you know Fehrplay‘s asking you to “talk to him” and it’s game over. So, now we turn to you, our loyal supporters, to go out and play this loud from atop a mountain, or any equivalent you can find, to let as many people as possible know that Matt Fax is here, and he’s ready to party.
Eric really is spoiling us this summer. Been waiting for this track for years. In case you missed it, here is his EDC Vegas set this past weekend. Continuing with his ‘Black Dice’ theme, this one is dark to very dark. Not for the casual ‘Everyday’ listener (although he does give them what they want at the end). I’d bet that ‘Personal Jesus’ edit doesn’t suck live either.
