Gerard de la Disco – Radiant Future EP

gerard-de-la-disco

Not sure that this is technically a release since two of the four tracks are not available for purchase or free download. Honestly, who gives a shit. My office just allowed Soundcloud past the firewall. Fuck ya. Anyways, Gerard de la Disco is a ghost. A ghost that loves to make sexy disco music. Yes, there is little know about this bro, but his sound is phenomenal and technique is superb. Props bro, we diggin’ the summer vibes. Oh and thanks for the free tunes. Download “The Future” and “Don’t Wake Me Up” below.

He is a man of excellence. He is a man of distinction. He is a man of passion. But most of all, he is a man of disco.

RELEASE: Ashley Wallbridge – Crush (Original Mix) [LE7ELS]

7593915

Out this week on LE7ELS is the new single from Ashely Wallbridge called “Crush.” This is the type of shit the Swedish House Mafia would use to elevate entire stadiums of people to a state of wonder. The track is extremely high-energy and features some dope acid house in the beginning and end. It’s going to be supported by pretty much every big progressive house DJ/Producer. I mean the label is run by Avicii….so, you think this one is gonna be big? Ya. No brainer.

RELEASE: Kaskade – Atmosphere (Extended Mix) [Ultra]

Kaskade_EncoreBeach

Kaskade is without a doubt, a living legend. In every possible way he has influenced dance music for the better. His music is so damn positive. And when he goes and does stuff like playing a super deep, emotional set for a tiny crowd in NYC, or making a  track like “Atmosphere,” he reminds you why we all love him. Out today on Ultra Records. Enjoy the passion and go love somebody. It’s the right thing to do. Now I’m gonna go put this on repeat and cry a little bit. Peace.

RELEASE: Daft Punk – Random Access Memories [Columbia (Sony)]

gq-profiles-daft-punk-for-its-may-2013-issue-1

The wait it over. Daft Punk‘s long awaited comeback album…actually, fuck that. The weren’t ever gone in my opinion. I’ve heard their influence in dance music for the past 8 years. Think about it… Ayways, here is the album. Don’t buy it on iTunes, used Beatport. It’s better quality. Especially for you DJs out there. Come on, step your game up. What do you think? Was it worth all the hype? I happen to like 6/10. I’d say that’s solid. However, that said, I will definitely give it some time to grow on me. We’ve got a long three months of summer ahead of us.

Here is one of my favorites off the record.

Bonus remix from one of our “Spotlight” artists, Theater of Delays. Guess a couple people found out who they are cause this track made it to #1 on the Hypem remix chart this past weekend….piiiiimp. Played it live the other night on a roof…it works.

RELEASE: Henrik B & Niklas Gustavsson feat. Peter Johansson – Echoes (Extended Mix) [Le7els]

Will always remember the time I met this beautiful man down in Miami. Specifically, the part where Tim Berg leans over to me and says that Henrik B handed him a CD with his latest track, which what not even finished, and just says play it. What does Avicii do? Yea, he threw that puppy in and rocked the house. That track was called “Acid Rocker” and it is one of my go to track still to this day…when I’m looking to get a little weird…you know what I mean right? Anyways, that’s neither here nor there. This new release is his biggest anthem since the famous remix of Adrian Lux‘s “Teenage Crime” he did with Axwell. I can pretty much guarantee this will be in your head for the entire summer. Also on the collab is Niklas Gustavsson and the vocals from Peter Johansson. You know what they say, three is company. It’s out on Le7els today. Enjoy :)
