Bixel Boys gettin’ all freakynaughty with the baseline. Robin Thicke keepin’ it so soulful and sexy. Basically this shit just…gets…offffff. Don’t care who you are, cause everyone is on the dancefloor gettin’ down. Deep down. You won’t regret it. Being bad feels good.
Oh Ellie Goulding…cannot get enough I tell you. That sexy whimsical voice is just what I like to hear pumping out of those big speaks in a room full of sweaty people trying to take it to another level. Dammit she is good. That said, Special Features gets the props on this remix of “Only You.” What the kid lacks in sex appeal, he makes up for in production value. This one is far too good to be a free download, but hey…we’re not complaining. Preview and download below. What a jam. Turn volume to full and lose yourself.
Will K is a 16 year old Australian lad that has some serious talent. He has finally hit it big with this big room, progressive anthem “Open Your Eyes.” It is a three way collab between this Aussie wiz kid, Marcus Santoro, and Daniel Gregorio. I think the original is great, so don’t get me wrong, but nothing tops the remix from the AYNE favorite, eSQUIRE. Peep the preview below and support the artists buy purchasing via Beatport. This is easily one of the biggest vocal anthems out there right now. You’ll be singing the lyrics for the rest of the week. You’re welcome…
Lana Del Ray has one of those timeless voices that surrounds you physically and penetrates you on those deeper levels. This track, “Dark Paradise” is one of my personal favorites of hers and this version by Parov Stelar is just fabulous.
“Every time I close my eyes, it’s like a dark paradise. No one compares to you, but there’s no you except in my dreams tonight.”
We at AYNE have been waiting for this release for a really long time. Anabel Englund‘s deliciously haunting vocals are just the sexy surface of this instant classic. The original lives in the deeper level of your soul and takes you into a nice daydream-like state. But you already knew that. Now the remixes. The first is from the always dope, Deetron. He brings in some extremely deep, modulated bass, speeds the track up a bit, and utilizes some nightmarish piano melodies. Both the remix and the dub version are quite dark. Next we have the deep but extremely funky Shadow Child version that is perfect for getting your jack on. Robert James keeps it nice and dreamy with some fresh baselines and crazy echo effects on the vocals in his dark and terrace mixes. Definitely gives you that yearning sensation. One for ze club and one for ze groovy pool parties. Pick your poison. Buy all via the link below.
This one is a bonus remix that is not yet available for purchase or download, but it is easily by favorite of all the remixes. Props to Benoit & Sergio. Been following these gentlemen for quite some time. Basically ever since I heard there “New Ships” EP…which is real solid. If you don’t know…now you know. Ya know.
Oh and one more thing. Hot Natured is playing an insane show in NYC on July 6th at Terminal 5 with additional DJ sets from group members, Jamie Jones and Lee Foss, as well as support from Infinity Ink. And why the fuck not…an appearance from Anabel wouldn’t upset me. This one is essential. Surprised its not sold out already. If you don’t have a ticket, I strongly suggest purchasing one.
These 4 are legends in the making. We are all witnesses.
Out this past friday is a simply phenomenal EP from one of my favorite producers, Touch Sensitive. Ever since his essential single “Real Talk,” a collab with Anna Lunoe, which helped him spend more than 5 months at the top of the Beatport charts, I have been obsessed with his sound. You will be transported to a seemingly weightless environments of glowing lights, dark empty streets, and mesmerizing synths and vocal samples when you listen to “Pizza Guy.” The remix from Lauer gives the track some funky bass, which is always nice. But still, I prefer the hazy, dream-like texture of the original. “Show Me” is the other track on the EP, and it slightly slower and gives off that melo vibe that dares you to slow it down and enjoy the moment. All in all, I give this two thumbs up. It’s yet another stellar release from Future Classic…a label you need to know, btw.
