This song is simply incredible. These cocky young Swedes were not kidding when they said they were going to take the house music world by storm. Henrix and Jakob Liedholm have officially made their footprint on the mainstage of big-room progressive house, and by the way things are going, I don’t see them going anywhere but up. Pick up “Losing My Mind” and the rest of the “Rock The Dream” EP from Henrix on Beatport today thanks to Laidback Luke and Mixmash Records.

Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, pimps and hoes…boy do we have an epic give away for you tonight! One of AYNE’s favorite rising stars from Sweden sent us his personal edit of the massive original from Swedish superstars, Sebastian Ingrosso and Alesso, called “Calling (Lose My Mind).” You may have heard of it…it was practically the song of the year in 2011. Anyways, Jerry Rekonius is poised to hit the big time, and tonight we bring it to you an exclusive free download direct from the man himself. It is without a doubt the best remix/edit of “Calling” I have heard thus far…and I have heard enough. I thought I would never say this…but honestly, Jerry took this track to a new level with a killer synth melody that will leave you craving more. Preview and download below.

Jerry just finished his Carlsberg Unbottle Tour, which features the most promising up-and-coming DJs in Sweden. Qulinez was the first act this year to do the tour and up next is Lunde Bros…so basically he’s been crushing it pretty hard over there in the land of brutal winters and beautiful blonde babes. Stay tuned for the official announcement of his upcoming UK dates and his forthcoming remix of “Damage Control” from Lazy Rich, Hirshee and Amba Shepherd, which will be out in March on Big Fish Recordings. Oh and if you missed the preview of this bad boy…It’s that feel good shit we all love, just with some of Rekonius’s special sauce. It’s a jam.

For more of Jerry’s music and info about upcoming tour dates and release, visit his Facebook page and follow him on Soundcloud. It’s the intelligent thing to do. Oh and one more thing…when he’s finally in the limelight, and we are all backstage partying our dicks off with Jerry and his crew over at I’M AGENCY, don’t be mad…we tried to tell you.

SPOTLIGHT: Oliver Nelson

oliver-nelson

I have been meaning to do a special post on this kid for a while now. Oliver Nelson is based in Stockholm, Sweden and is extremely underrated. He produces funk, disco, nu disco, and groovy electro shtuff. He has become one of my favorite up-and-comers in the nu disco genre, and I foresee nothing but success for this young producer. Get familiar.

Here is his latest production. An amazing remix of MNDR’s hit single “Feed Me Diamonds.”  It’s quite special. Easily among the best currently available.

This remix is my favorite version of Viceroy‘s track with Ghost Beach called “While We’re In Love.” It is supported by Viceroy himself, and a beautiful piece of producing.

Here we have two fun and funky nu disco renditions of classics from Whitney Houston and Barry Manilow. “How Will I Know” is always a crowd favorite, and if you love the original, you may have just found a replacement. It’s impeccably smooth and has nothing but soulfully delicious vibes. And Barry’s vocals are given new life a top Oliver’s beats.

Passion Pit is always a great call for a house party. Oliver’s rendition of their single “Carried Away” is so spot on it hurts. Grooves on grooves on grooves.

This one has winter written all over it. I’m thinking fireplaces, some offensively expensive bourbon, and a few warm bodies…some love making perhaps? Yea, that was rhetorical. Justin Vernon‘s voice over sensual nu disco vibrations is fun and makes me feel a little horny actually…in a romantic sort of way. Don’t judge me. I’m sensitive.

RELEASE: Jerry Rekonius – Turn Up The Bass (Original Mix) [Spinnin']

Out this week on Spinnin’ Records is another heavy electro house bomb from our good friend, Swedish DJ/Producer, Jerry Rekonius. It’s called “Turn Up The Bass,” and it requires the appropriate sound equipment for the desired effect. Big room synths and dirty drops make this one a must have for that point in the night where people are looking to let all their troubles go and get weird for a bit. Make sure to check out the preview below and purchase via Beatport!

Here is a special bootleg I made with Jerry’s track. Grab it for free here!

SPOTLIGHT: Gatzby

Gabriel Forsberg is a 19 year old Swedish DJ/Producer who contacted us via Facebook. We listened two some of his stuff and were quite impressed. He has some serious skills and a bright future in dance music. Check out two of his unofficial remixes and a preview of an original track below. Also, make sure to grab the free downloads via Soundcloud.

Might just be the best remix of this track available. Serious power behind those synths.

Is it just me or does this sound eerily similar to an Avicii melody?

This one has huuuuuge potential.

Show the kid some love on Facebook and follow on Twitter.

PREVIEW: Nause – Hungry Hearts (Jakob Liedholm Feeded Hearts Remix) [Ultra]

Here is the third Jakob Liedholm track on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 show. Only 15 years old. But hey, listen to the Tong, “that’s not why we are playin’ it…it’s cause it’s large.” Liedholm has truly found his sound and is impressing me more and more. He has firmly placed himself on a level with some of the other rising Swedish stars, Otto Knows, Jerry Rekonius, Mikael Weermets, and Bauer & Lanford. The kid has the potential to be as big as Avicii and Alesso. Get familiar.
