Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, pimps and hoes…boy do we have an epic give away for you tonight! One of AYNE’s favorite rising stars from Sweden sent us his personal edit of the massive original from Swedish superstars, Sebastian Ingrosso and Alesso, called “Calling (Lose My Mind).” You may have heard of it…it was practically the song of the year in 2011. Anyways, Jerry Rekonius is poised to hit the big time, and tonight we bring it to you an exclusive free download direct from the man himself. It is without a doubt the best remix/edit of “Calling” I have heard thus far…and I have heard enough. I thought I would never say this…but honestly, Jerry took this track to a new level with a killer synth melody that will leave you craving more. Preview and download below.
Jerry just finished his Carlsberg Unbottle Tour, which features the most promising up-and-coming DJs in Sweden. Qulinez was the first act this year to do the tour and up next is Lunde Bros…so basically he’s been crushing it pretty hard over there in the land of brutal winters and beautiful blonde babes. Stay tuned for the official announcement of his upcoming UK dates and his forthcoming remix of “Damage Control” from Lazy Rich, Hirshee and Amba Shepherd, which will be out in March on Big Fish Recordings. Oh and if you missed the preview of this bad boy…It’s that feel good shit we all love, just with some of Rekonius’s special sauce. It’s a jam.
For more of Jerry’s music and info about upcoming tour dates and release, visit his Facebook page and follow him on Soundcloud. It’s the intelligent thing to do. Oh and one more thing…when he’s finally in the limelight, and we are all backstage partying our dicks off with Jerry and his crew over at I’M AGENCY, don’t be mad…we tried to tell you.
Out this week on Spinnin’ Records is another heavy electro house bomb from our good friend, Swedish DJ/Producer, Jerry Rekonius. It’s called “Turn Up The Bass,” and it requires the appropriate sound equipment for the desired effect. Big room synths and dirty drops make this one a must have for that point in the night where people are looking to let all their troubles go and get weird for a bit. Make sure to check out the preview below and purchase via Beatport!
Gabriel Forsberg is a 19 year old Swedish DJ/Producer who contacted us via Facebook. We listened two some of his stuff and were quite impressed. He has some serious skills and a bright future in dance music. Check out two of his unofficial remixes and a preview of an original track below. Also, make sure to grab the free downloads via Soundcloud.
Might just be the best remix of this track available. Serious power behind those synths.
Is it just me or does this sound eerily similar to an Avicii melody?
This one has huuuuuge potential.
Show the kid some love on Facebook and follow on Twitter.
Here is the third Jakob Liedholm track on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 show. Only 15 years old. But hey, listen to the Tong, “that’s not why we are playin’ it…it’s cause it’s large.” Liedholm has truly found his sound and is impressing me more and more. He has firmly placed himself on a level with some of the other rising Swedish stars, Otto Knows, Jerry Rekonius, Mikael Weermets, and Bauer & Lanford. The kid has the potential to be as big as Avicii and Alesso. Get familiar.
How about a full length, electro house album from the wild and wacky, but also, extremely talented, Swedish duo who call themselves Dada Life? It’s available now through iTunes and features a bunch of new tracks and some recent favorites like “Happy Violence” and “Kick Out The Epic Motherf**ker.” Preview all the tracks below. And if I was you…just speaking to all you DJs or wannabe DJs, or actually, even people who just value great quality, wait for the Beatport release. And if you don’t know the difference…well, they do say “ignorance is bliss,” but in you case, it means you have shitty speakers and/or headphones. Get with the program. It’s ze Dada. They bring it past 10. Jah feel me?
The Swedish pop duo, Icona Pop, just came out with their next hit single. I say that…assuming you have even heard of them…that’s for the US audience. All the Europeans reading this should have heard of these chicks. They have a few dope tracks out at the moment that have received a lot of traction, namely “I Love It,” which was produced by Patrik Berger and Style of Eye….so, yeaaah…it’s absolutely essential. “Ready For The Weekend” is no different. Stupid hard electro and sassy vocals. Straight bomb.
