As Ralphy alluded to last “Wednesday Wompfest,” we at AYNE aren’t that great with consistent posting. We try our best to follow through on our weekly posts, but as all 6 of us are on the cusp of adult life, we face constant changes of both circumstance and environment. Therefore, sorry we’re not sorry, and here is some nasty bass music.

The following track is from American DJ/Producer, Luminox. If you have been keeping up with the dance music industry, you might have heard of this growing “style” (I hesitate to label it a genre yet since it is still very much evolving). Basically, for all you underground wompfiends, the hot shit right now, so get familiar.
Rusko hasn’t been on my radar since I saw him rip up the Electric Zoo main stage last year in NYC, but he is definitely back in the spotlight now. His new track with vocalist Bonnie McKee, “Thunder,” is great to say the least. Catchy enough to be on the radio, but also powerful enough to crush the biggest global dance floors. Not sure how I missed this one in March. The track is now available via iTunes, so you have no excuse. Buy it. Now.
Rusko feat. Bonnie McKee – Thunder (Tantrum Desire Remix) – Beatport Link – $$$$ This remix is a fantastic drum & bass rendition. Even if you are like me and aren’t typically drum & bass fan, give this one a shot. Definitely AYNE approved.
Rusko’s opening song at the Roseland Theater in Portland Oregon, on April 26th, 2012. That is what I like to call the Rukso effect. If you’re not impressed. Well, frankly, there is something very wrong with you.
After quite a long absence, we are back with some fraiche womp for you kids to get weird to tonight. I will be attending the Porter Robinson show in Atlanta. Supporting artists will include Mat Zo and The M Machine. Should be tight. It’s humpday…who’s getting naughty?

Here is a HUGE progressive track from Dutch up-and-comers Julian Jordan and TV Noise (formerly Les Bros). With some electro elements infused as well, these two talents acts bring an extremely impressive and powerful big room track that features a beautiful lead melody, which is matched by a synth melody as the track builds into a grungy, crunchy electro style drop. The second verse melodies are altered slightly, but the power of the synths and piano stab at your senses. Overall, this is hands down one of the hottest tracks right now, and these two artists are going to be huge this year! The track is out on Spinnin’ Records. So don’t wait, and grab a copy at Beatport today!

Check out two of the new remixes out this week for Don Diablo’s “Silent Shadows.” The Swedish duo, Quilnez, who have been on their game over the past month, releasing a handful of big tracks, put their own powerful progressive style to work and produce another beauty.
Don Diablo – Silent Shadows (Keljet Remix) – Beatport Link – $$$$$ This guy seems to just emit fraicheness from his pores. Very money. Trust me. Even played live on Letterman…pretty dope if you ask me.
Don Diablo – Silent Shadows (Quilnez Remix) – Beatport Link – $$$$ Nice bouncy intro with a really nice wompy breakdown. Then they take you higher with their signature synth sounds and fat progressive drop. Great use of vocal sampling as well.
Don Diablo – Silent Shadows (Mind Vortex Remix) – Beatport Link – $$$ Brings a lot of energy from the get go, and gives a really creative upbeat drum & bass meets dubstep take on on the original.
In the silence of the shadows…
Though Kaskade’s collaboration with Skrillex titled “Lick It” was good? Try these remixes on for size. They each have a distinct style. Norman Doray goes progressive piano and synth melodies, Alex Kenji obviously keeps you boucin’ on the funkier side, and then Datsik gets down and dirty with some dubstep womping. Starting out with the best:
